Gloucester cathedral looks stunning !
I look about 10 in this photo but snow makes me happy. Time to get my christmas wrapping on tonight I think.

View from my window.
So everything is beautiful. Christmas is a few sleeps away, England is white and The Pogues are being played on Radio 1 a lot. I miss Oxford, Oxford even looks pretty in the rain. Must say I am enjoying all the films on telly at the moment but I can’t wait to get my kindle from Santa so that I can start reading again. Overall I am happy, and thats enough for now.

I will never be your cornerstone
Title = favourite lyric at present
You know an essay is bad when somebody who loves writing cannot wait to see the back of it. Welcome to my world. At the moment my world is an anthology, tomorrow it will be on aspects of a European novel, but then the day after it will be about seeing my friends and christmas. Just two more days :)
On the plus side the creation of my anthology has opened my mind to a whole new topic, holocaust poetry. It is truly amazing.
The Butterfly
- The last, the very last,
- So richly, brightly, dazzlingly yellow.
- Perhaps if the sun’s tears would sing
- against a white stone. …
- Such, such a yellow
- Is carried lightly ‘way up high.
- It went away I’m sure because it wished to
- kiss the world good-bye.
- For seven weeks I’ve lived in here,
- Penned up inside this ghetto.
- But I have found what I love here.
- The dandelions call to me
- And the white chestnut branches in the court.
- Only I never saw another butterfly.
- That butterfly was the last one.
- Butterflies don’t live in here,
- in the ghetto.

- Beautiful isnt it ? I wish I could write like that. (I will learn)

- Ps. I wish people would make hard things easier by realising that they are hard instead of pretending that they are easy.

Freedom is the freedom to say that 2+2=4. If that is granted, all else follows.

Okay so I thought I would post photos of my family because they mean more to me than anything : me, little sister Evie (5) and our big brother Zander (21)

First
Okay so this is my first blog, I’m not sure how interesting this is going to be…..or how to even use this site but thought I would give it a go anyway. I’m 18 and I study English and History at Oxford Brookes. I like writing, photography, travelling, art, music and cuddles. Just realised how hard it is to write when there is nothing on your mind but there we go, maybe something will come ?
Untill then…
Liza
